There are a lot of exciting things in the works for the Spring 2010 market and we hope to see all of our designer and dealer trade partners during the April 17-22, 2010 show. Here at Habersham, we’re working on a complete April market showroom redesign for our High Point space – Market Square 142 –that will better showcase the line, our custom cabinetry capabilities, and offer up a number of creative new merchandising and design ideas. I’ll be posting more updates on the showroom redesign in upcoming months. In addition to our own upgrades, the Market Square building itself is also undergoing an extensive renovation.
A recent market update from the High Point Market Authority said:
With the intent of preserving the unique historic nature of the building while adding improved amenities with a modern twist, Market Square Management Company MMPI set out to find a creative and experienced designer who understood the specific needs of the project. Bradshaw Orrell of Bradshaw Orrell Interiors of Greensboro, best known for his design direction on Greensboro’s Proximity Hotel, the first platinum LEED certified hotel in the country, was the perfect choice. His vision touched on every aspect of the design detail of the hotel and restaurant, including custom designing every piece of furniture in the guest rooms.
“When we heard about the design process behind the Proximity Hotel, which was grounded on the concept that they would pretend they had found an old factory and would adapt it to their needs, we knew we had the perfect designer for our project. We already had the old factory,” says Karen Olson, vice president of marketing for MMPI High Point.
Market Square says that when they open the doors to the renovated complex, they’ll also unveil a whole roster of upgraded services and amenities for buyers as well. Look for more information coming soon!
